The DIAMOND Industrial Switch line includes a 6 – and a 10- port Ethernet modules. The high performing redundant ethernet ring capability (commutation time < 20 ms) provide the necessary reserve for time and volume critical applications as well as increasing data traffic. The rugged structure design makes this product suitable for particularly demanding use in industrial environment. The 35mm DIN-Rails snap fitting allows quick and simple mounting in wall distributors and panels without need of particular tooling.

The Switches offers the following functions:

​

  • 2 Fast Ethernet/Gigabit optical fiber connections 100BaseFX/1000BaseSX allowing the implementation of a fault-tolerant optical fiber ring and chain linking several industrial switches. Large distances can be convenient realized.

  • 4 - 7 Port 10/100BaseTX connections for ethernet terminals like machine and control systems, consoles or further network user and 1 Port 10/100/1000BaseT for uplink connection.

The DIAMOND optelcon® is a mediaconverter for optoelectronic media designed for flexible use. A major benefit is its compact design, just 100 × 60 × 60 mm (L × W × H). This allows easy, convenient mounting, for example in a cabinet wall with a thickness up to 4 mm and affords IP65 protection.

 

A M50 cutout is needed. The optical fiber connector is the revos E-2000 2-channel outdoor connector. Its robust design also achieves IP65 protection, making it optimally suited for exterior use as well as industrial applications.

​

The electrical interface is a RJ45 connector with a transmission rate of 10 / 100 Mbit/s.

​

The optelcon® is ready for immediate use and requires no additional settings or configuration.

​

Switch industrial plug and play

The Diamond Industrial Entry Line Switch supports multiple 10/100BaseTX and/or 1000BaseT access ports on Fast Ethernet and Gigabit fiber optic lines, mounted onto a 35 mm DIN-Rail. The extremely compact design makes this product suitable for applications in various wall boxes and cabinets. The SFP slots offers a wide range of transceivers, which allows a flexible and cost effective fiber connection for multimode and singlemode networks. The devices are immediately ready for operation, and extensive configuration is not necessary. The device is ready for redundant power supply connection and offers a power fault alarm relay.
